About the Harp

 

The harp remains one of the most beautiful and fashinating instrument of the world and occupies a position unique in the history of music. It is the oldest known stringed instrument. One of the earliest musical instrument discoveries showed a harp-like instrument on rock paintings dating back to 15,000 BC in France.

Harps come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and weights. You can find it everywhere, in Europe, America, Africa, South and Southwest Asia, East Asia. It exists Concert Harp, Folk, lever, and Celtic instruments, multi-course harps, chromatics-strung harps, modern electric harps, South American harp, Renaissance or Gothic harp

 

 

Sonates en Duo proposes a journey into the discovery of different kinds of music, and styles.
Every musical style let to expand the knowledges and explore new genres that are foreign for children.
